Sustainability

Building with Nature

Recyclable waste helps us protect the environment and use resources more efficiently, laying the foundation for a sustainable future. We ensure that significant waste generated from our projects, such as plastics, concrete, wood, metal, and iron, is recycled and delivered to municipalities and private enterprises. This way, we aim to reduce the consumption of already limited resources and prevent environmental pollution.

Environmental Protection in Underwater Excavation and Marine Construction

At ES Denizcilik, we prioritize the protection of the sea and marine life during underwater excavation and marine construction. We utilize methods and technologies that minimize environmental impacts, conducting our activities without harming marine ecosystems. Protecting marine life and the marine environment is not only a legal obligation but also part of our commitment to environmental sustainability.

Commitment to Future Generations

In our projects, we focus on sustainable waste management and environmental protection principles, aiming to leave a more livable world for future generations. Through technological innovations and strong partnerships, we continue to minimize our environmental impacts and protect natural resources.

What is Posidonia Oceanica?

What is Posidonia Oceanica?

Posidonia Oceanica is a seagrass species native to the Mediterranean Sea, playing a crucial role in marine ecosystems. It provides habitat and food for various marine species, helps stabilize the seabed, and contributes to the overall health of marine environments. Its conservation is vital for maintaining biodiversity and the ecological balance of marine life. Posidonia Oceanica is a flowering plant belonging to the monocots that has returned from land to the sea. This plant can extend up to 30 meters on the seabed and plays a significant role in coastal ecosystems, blooming underwater. The fruits that wash up on the shore are known as "Egagropili."

Ecological Role

Every square meter of seagrass can produce about 10 liters of oxygen daily. Its rhizomes stabilize the seabed and prevent coastal erosion, making it critically important for the ecosystem.

Conservation Efforts

At ES Denizcilik, we implement specific protective measures to ensure the preservation of Posidonia Oceanica. Thanks to these precautions, the plant's habitat and ecological functions are safeguarded while construction activities continue.

We maintain our mission to protect natural life and ecosystems by prioritizing environmental sensitivity in every project. The conservation of critical species like Posidonia Oceanica is a cornerstone of our sustainability understanding and a testament to our commitment to leaving a healthy environment for future generations.

All environmental measures have been meticulously taken to protect the endangered Posidonia Oceanica plant found in our construction sites. A silt curtain has been installed within the site, sediment accumulation has been observed, and turbidity measurements have been carried out.
