The design and engineering services of the project were provided by Amec Foster Wheeler, while procurement, construction, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation works were successfully completed by ES Denizcilik under its responsibility as the main contractor.

Project Scope and Technical Content

The project covered the fabrication and installation of approximately 30,000 meters of pipelines of various diameters within an active plant area. All piping materials were imported from Italy and installed on site in accordance with high-quality standards.

A total of 100,000 inches of welding work was carried out during the project, with a peak site workforce of 560 personnel. Welding activities were completed within approximately 750,000 man-hours, utilizing automatic submerged arc welding machines and argon welding equipment.

Site Conditions and Special Applications

Of the 15,000 m³ of excavation works performed on site, approximately 90% were carried out manually, as a significant portion of the excavation area was located beneath active and live pipelines. This condition required occupational health and safety and operational continuity to be managed as top priorities throughout the project duration.

To ensure uninterrupted operations on actively used internal plant roads, five pipe culverts were constructed. In addition, within the scope of the project:

• 1 transformer building

• 3 water pump stations

were constructed. The installation of a total of 11 pumps with varying capacities within the pump stations was carried out by ES Denizcilik.

To supply power to the pump stations constructed under the project, the required energy transmission lines were installed by ES Denizcilik. Within the scope of the electrical works, cable procurement, cable laying and installation, as well as system testing and commissioning activities, were successfully completed.
