Renewable Energy

In line with our sustainability approach, we prioritize the use of renewable energy across our factories and business centers. By generating clean energy through solar panels installed on the rooftops of our facilities, we reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and significantly lower carbon emissions. Our solar energy systems supply a portion of our operational energy demand, thereby enhancing energy efficiency while fostering an environmentally responsible and sustainable working environment

Renewable Energy Performance and Environmental Impact Analysis

In line with ES Denizcilik’s renewable energy and sustainability goals, the Solar Energy Panel project implemented in İzmir makes a significant contribution to reducing environmental impacts and increasing energy efficiency.

The solar panels installed on the roof of our business center in İzmir consist of 260 panels, each with a capacity of 460 Wp, reaching a total installed capacity of 110 kWp. Throughout 2025, the system generated 70.93 MWh of clean and renewable electricity. All of the energy produced was consumed within the business center, thereby reducing reliance on external energy sources and increasing operational efficiency.

Thanks to the solar panels, approximately 40% of our annual total electricity consumption has been supplied from renewable energy sources. This achievement represents an important step toward reducing dependence on fossil fuels and lowering our carbon footprint.

Within the scope of the 2025 performance of the solar panels at our İzmir business center:

  • Approximately 28.37 tons of standard coal consumption were avoided,
  • 33.69 tons of CO₂ emissions were prevented from being released into the atmosphere,
  • 47 trees were planted for carbon offsetting purposes.

These results demonstrate that ES Denizcilik’s sustainability approach is not limited to targets alone, but is supported by measurable, reportable, and tangible environmental gains. As ES Denizcilik, we continue to strengthen our leading position in marine construction through renewable energy investments, delivering environmentally responsible, energy-efficient projects that add value to the future.

Environmental Responsibility

Climate change, environmental pollution, and the finite nature of natural resources are making sustainable practices an imperative within the construction sector. Guided by this awareness, we implement practices across our projects that reduce the consumption of natural resources and minimize environmental impact. In the regions where we operate, we ensure full compliance with all applicable environmental regulations and international standards, and we embrace environmental protection as a core element of our corporate responsibility

Environmental Protection in Dredging and Marine Construction

ES Denizcilik regards the protection of the marine ecosystem as a top priority in all seabed dredging and marine construction activities. By employing methods and technologies designed to minimize environmental impact, the Company carries out its operations in a manner that avoids harm to marine life and preserves the natural ecological balance.

This approach goes beyond mere compliance with legal requirements and reflects our corporate commitment to environmental sustainability.

Posidonia Oceanica Conservation Practices

Posidonia oceanica, which is of critical importance to marine ecosystems, is a vital seagrass species that prevents coastal erosion, produces oxygen, and supports biodiversity.

As ES Denizcilik, we implement specialized environmental protection measures to safeguard Posidonia oceanica in the areas where our projects are carried out. Within this framework:

  • Silt curtains are installed to control sediment dispersion,
  • Sediment movements are continuously monitored,
  • Turbidity measurements are conducted on a regular basis.

Through these measures, the natural structure and ecological functions of seagrass meadows are preserved, ensuring that projects are executed in a safe, environmentally responsible, and sustainable manner.
